I see about the same decrease Frans. We could use some more hills for sure, but I'm willing to travel a bit to find more of a challenge. We have a nice new single track right outsiode of town, 9 miles, so I get lots of that.

Yes Mike, miles on the dirt, PROPER technical dirt, is very tough. My racing speed drops by at least 50%. At least the OWB area is quite flat!!! This bike challenge should actually track time in the saddle and not distance to make it 100% fair to MTBikers. Perhaps next year?

Mike, I'll check on the status for ordering the jersey. Mt. Borah hasn't put them up on the online store - but normally they do that for re-orders. Our first planned order for montly prizes is June 1. I'll check on getting single orders sooner. If anyone else is interested let me know.

No I haven't. I'd like to just hard to get away from the family long enough. Usually ride along the Chattahootchee River Walk or on the Big Creek Greenway. I'll be up at WRE in a few weeks for some meetings. Hope it warms up a lot before then.
Dee - it is unusually cold here, lows on Tues/Wed down to 6 F with 3 inches of snow forecast for tomorrow. But week after next high temps in the 50's. Spring will arrive, eventually. I'd like to check out the Silver Comet trail if ever get the chance in Atlanta. Ever rode that?

After seeing how Trek has started April, I propose we check and adjust our plan. New goal is to get up and ride and just have fun!

Rob/Stephen - any reason the pre-season can't start in January (vs.) March?; I know in WI the weather is lousy but here down south it is sometimes nicer in Winter than July/August. I certainly plan to log my miles all year round if the Endomondo site allows.

On Friday we have bank holiday in Czech republic. Bike team KC Jaromer Mill organized traditional event - Bejkování (Biking). Beautiful day, 60 km long very nice trip, several hundred km to Get Up and Ride competition. Very successful end of this year competition ! We are looking forward to next year Get Up and Ride ! Thanks all organizers!

rode into work for third time so far - 35 mile round trip! great morning for a ride. keeping with Olympic theme - i did my personal best at 1 hour 32 min!

Been unusually hot and humid in Neenah the past month. Looks like a very hot 4th of July. Although we had a brief shower yesterday, we could use some rain.

The cool air this morning was a nice change after the heat and humidity of the last several days.
just completed my second ever ride into work - 17.6 miles. fortunately, the weather cooperated and the ride in was only 65F. saw two bunny rabbits on way in.
Looking forward to my next trip to work this week - 36 miles round trip. let's hope the rain holds off on thursday.
My wife joined and we started riding in the evenings. We pick quiet streets not too far from home and its a nice time to talk and relax.
My family is signed up for the bike challenge now - including my two kids. As I came down the street on my bike yesterday evening I could see the kids out riding. They were excited to get their points! ---- 35 times up and down the driveway per mile!

Just completed my first ever ride into work - 18.3 miles! i feel like i have just accomplished a major milestone and am so glad i chose to do this once per month for a start. i had my riding buddy Casey Farina leading the way - thanks Casey! i know i slowed him down severely but we did it!

We are less than 500 miles short of last year's total of 82,031 miles in May! By tonight or tomorrow morning we shouldl have a new record for miles in May!
I think I'll ride a few extra miles today and tomorrow to increase the record. Anyone else?

Rob - how does our Freeloaders team have more points than all of WOF2? Aren't we all at WOF2, or did some of us not register a location?
I think with the expansion of the competition this year there have been one or two qliches in communication , my team from last year still appears on my homepage and endomondo won't let me delete it so it appears valid but obviously this is not the case .
Great first week of competition though and it's motivating me for some extra miles ;-)

Hey Rob, I don't think all the former k-c teams realize they need to sign up again this year. I know of a couple WRE teams that have been logging miles, but aren't signed up yet.

July is my expected recovery date so taking it easy till then.. but loving the challenge allready
Trek has put themselves in a comfortable position after 1 week. To make them uncomfortable, we would need to approximately double our number of K-C riders from 500 to 1000, which coincidentally is the 2012 goal for riders. Does anyone think we can do this? Last year we had almost 800 K-C'ers register by the time the Challenge was over in September.
It looks like we're off to a good start this year! I guess those people at Trek like to ride bikes alot!

Hi Eamon - Endomondo is working on a reporting module with target completion prior to the end of May. This should provide the functionality you are looking for.
Does anyone know an easy way to export data for all cyclists for a particular KC location - it will help with displaying everyones performance at the end of each month. Thanks!

One week of warm-up left, then the Challenge begins for real on May 1. Let's pull together as a team KC and show the rest of the world what we can do. Please let us know if you have any ideas how we can help more employees registered. Our goal is to have 1000 KC employees in the Challenge by September.

Great to see the teams forming up. I recognize a lot of the team names, but also see some new ones. Please let us know if you have any questions. We realize there are some changes this year, hopefully improvements to make your rides and participation in the Challenge more fun!
Nice to see more KC people registering. Based on the pre-season results, the National Challenge will bring in more and better competition It will take our best year ever to take the top spot, but I have no doubt KC will get it done.
